flierpic2.jpg (147085 bytes) See the history of 1865 come to life! The 25th South Carolina Volunteer Infantry will once again host a reenactment of the Battle for Rivers’ Bridge January 30-31, 2010. The event will be held rain or shine on private land in Bamberg County, 1744 Confederate Hwy (Hwy 641). The event is open to the public Saturday 9 am – 5 pm and Sunday 9 am -3 pm. Cost is $5.00 Adults, $3.00 Children 12-18, under 12 and over 65 Free. Parking is free.

A battle reenactment will be held at 2:00 both days and camps will be open to spectators who are encouraged to visit with the soldiers. Other areas of interest are: Homestead and garden where you can visit with civilians dressed in mid century clothing and view period crafts and demonstrations; Jenny’s General Store where you can purchase items or visit with the proprietors, Mr. and Mrs. Booth; and the Meeting House where religious service will be held on Sunday at 10:00. flierpic1.jpg (211150 bytes)
